Mungkin kebanyakan dari kita jarang menggunakan cara cepat ini,yaitu dengan memanfaatkan shortcut keuboard untuk mengatur Windows Media Player.Dengan menggunakan shortcut kita dapat menjalankan perintah-perintah yang tidak terdapat pada tombol di Windows Media Player, seperti menambah kecepatan perputaran lagu. Berikut ini ada beberapa shorcut key yang bisa digunakan pada WMP.

Video Playback
ALT 1 Menyesuaikan zoom sampai 50 persen
ALT 2 Menyesuaikan zoom sampai 100 persen
ALT 3 Atur zoom sampai 200 persen
ALT + ENTER Tampilan video dalam modus penuh
Akses menu
ALT + F Membuka File Menu
ALT + T Membuka Tools menu
ALT + V View Menu pada media player
ALT + P Play Menu media player
ALT + F4 Untuk menutup media player
Mode Layar
CTRL1 Tampilan media player full mode
CTRL 2 Tampilan media player skin mode
Kontrol Player
ENTER atau SPASI Digunakan untuk memainkan file <play>
CTRL+B Untuk memainkan file sebelumnya <previous>
CTRL + F Digunakan untuk memainkan file berikutnya <next>
CTRL + E Untuk mengeluarkan CD atau DVD dari drive
CTRL + P Digunakan untuk Play atau Pause file di media player
CTRL + T Untuk mengulangi file yang sedang diputar <repeat>
CTRL + SHIFT + B Untuk Rewind file yang sedang di putar
CTRL + SHIFT + F Untuk menambah kecepatan putar <forward>
CTRL + SHIFT + S Untuk memperlambat file yang sedang diputar
CTRL + SHIFT + G Untuk mempercepat file yang sedang diputar
CTRL + SHIFT + N Untuk mengembaikan pada kecepatan normal
F8 Membuat mode diam pada volume <mute>
F9 Mengurangi volume suara
F10 Menambah volume suara pada media player
